What does your job entail?
I coordinate all technical documentation within the company and between our suppliers and our R&D department. I assist both the R&D department and the Sales department doing technical documentation and I manage our D4 Infonet document management system. Furthermore, I handle our ISO 9001 and 17025 tasks and participate in both internal and external audits. 

What is the best part of your job?
What I especially like about my job is the great opportunity to plan my own day. Off course there are some deadlines I have to meet but on a daily basis my superiors trust me with my planning skills to let me do my job as I see fit. Furthermore, I like the variety of my tasks and the fact that my superiors listen to me and value my input.

Have your position changed over time?
I was employed as a Technical Coordinator, however, my work area has changed drastically over the years going from just handling the technical documentation in the R&D department to also managing our document managing system D4 and being a QA assistant and QA team leader handling our QA documentation.

What is the work environment like at AMETEK STC?
Daily life is always hectic here at AMETEK STC and there is never a dull moment. You have to look at your work load with a flexible attitude, as you might need to assist on some other tasks during the day which you did not expect when you planned your day in the morning. But having so many competent and helpful colleagues it is never a problem. Many of my colleagues have worked here for many, many years and it almost feels like they are family.

What advice would you give to a new employee?
See things as a challenge not a problem. Never be afraid to ask for help. There is no shame in asking for help. Meet people with a smile and be yourself.
